Elijah Canlas on keeping relationship with Miles Ocampo private: 'We just choose what to share'

Elijah Canlas touched on his relationship with Miles Ocampo and on the importance of keeping things private.

On "Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel," the award-winning actor said that he understands how some celebrities tend to be more open about their personal lives.

For Elijah, however, he prefers to keep quiet.

"For the first year po ng relationship namin, nobody knew about it," he said about dating Miles.

With Miles, Elijah said he learned that it is possible to have a private relationship in showbiz.

"We just choose what to share, and you have to save yourself sometimes from certain things," he said.

At this point, Elijah said that he is already happy with sharing snippets of their relationship.

"Masaya din mag-share sa mga tao e, na posible na siya," he said. "I'm sure dati mas mahirap, naabutan ko naman po 'yun."

Elijah stars with Romnick Sarmenta in the film "About Us but Not About Us," an entry for the summer edition of Metro Manila Film Festival.
