Kris Bernal and Perry Choi reveal their baby's gender with fighting dinosaurs
Kris Bernal and Perry Choi held a gender reveal party in the most unexpected way—with fighting dinosaurs!
As seen on Kris's vlog, the married couple hired two people, dressed in dinosaur mascot costumes at their rooftop celebration in Pasay City.
One person wore a blue dinosaur costume while the other suited up in a pink dino ensemble. They squared off, with the winner being the baby's gender.
The dinos were supposed to fight for three rounds, but the sun was already going down so they cut it down to two battle rounds.
At certain points during the fights, the dinosaurs would fall to the ground, hit each other with their tails, and at one point, body slammed each other in the air. Wham!
In the first round, the pink dino won.
At one point, one of the event hosts said, "Ano, blue [dinosaur]? Kaya pa?"
For the second and last round, the pink dinosaur won again, revealing the couple's baby to be a girl.
At the gender reveal, both Kris and Perry raised their arms in excitement at the prospect of having a daughter.
Kris also shared that it was Perry's idea to have the dinosaurs. She originally suggested fireworks for the gender reveal portion of the party.
"Answered prayer talaga. 'Yun nga, gusto ko girl kasi gusto ko bihisan, pero gusto ko rin ng boy kasi gusto ko may kalaro din 'yung mga pamangkin ko na boys, puro boys," she said.
Kris also said that they have a name picked out for a girl, but did not announce it.
The mom-to-be donned a white long-sleeved dress with dangling earrings and hair in an updo. Perry opted for a white collared shirt, dark pants, and a black baseball cap.
At the affair, they treated guests to various activities and dishes. They had a blue and pink donut wall and served coffee, which Kris said was Perry's non-negotiable. They also had a cake with one pink layer, one blue layer, and a gold crown topper.
The guests also played games like making diapers out of tissue and more at the venue decorated with pink and blue balloons.
Kris called the gender reveal party an "intimate" gathering and said that they will also have a baby shower and that will be a bigger celebration.
Bigger than dinosaurs fighting? Can't wait!
Kris and Perry announced that they were expecting a baby last March.
The couple wed in September 2021 after a series of postponements following their engagement in 2020.
