Maui Taylor explains why she still lives with her ex-husband in the same home, co-parenting their kids

Maui Taylor co-parents her two sons with her ex-husband Anton Sabarre — and they all live in the same home.

While she acknowledged that co-parenting can be done in different houses, she talked about why she chose to co-parent her sons, Antoine Miguel and Matteo Alonzo, with her non-showbiz ex in the same house on Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda."

According to Maui, their oldest son is close to her while the youngest one is close to her ex-partner. She said that if she and her ex lived in two different places, her oldest child would want to follow her.

"Ayokong dumating sa point na paghihiwalayin ko 'yung dalawang bata," she said.

Since Maui and her ex live under the same roof, both of them are not allowed to bring anyone they date into the house.

"Bawal magpakilala kasi mako-confuse 'yung kids," she said.

But that's fine. Maui hasn't dated since the separation.

She also talked about why they broke up.

"Kasi kami, pag nag-aaway kami, hindi namin siya pinag-uusapan. Biglang, op, okay na tayo so ang nangyari? 'Yung problema na 'yun — lumalim nang lumalim, talagang sobrang lalim na nung hole na 'yun — na away, bati, away, bati," she said.

"Dumating na kami sa point na, huwag na tayo mag-away. Pagod na kami. Tama na 'to," she continued.

Maui has a brief appearance on the TV series, "The Write One," which stars Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid. — Kimberly Tsao/LA, GMA Integrated News
