Ysabel Ortega on being a stepdaughter: 'I know it's not easy to treat someone else's daughter as your own'
Ysabel Ortega turned teary eyed on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Friday, when the King of Talk asked her about her relationship with her stepfather, the police director Greg Pimentel, whom her mother, Michelle Ortega, married in 2018.
"Wow, agad-agad," Ysabel exclaimed as though she was diffusing full-on waterworks.
"Kasi I know it's not easy to treat someone else's daughter as your own," the Voltes-V: Legacy actress said. "I'm just very grateful kasi I found a father in Daddy Greg."
"I know it's not easy to accept that but he treats me as his own daughter. I'm very happy, I'm happy to say that I have a family, I have a whole family," she continued.
Ysabel said she and her stepdad are not "showy" of their love. "Ang love language namin, pang-aasar," she says laughing.
Ysabel is the daughter of Michelle Ortega and Sen. Lito Lapid.
During "Fast Talk," she admitted having gone through a rough patch with her dad. "But we're OK now," she said. — LA, GMA Integrated News
