Ysabel Ortega on her father Sen. Lito Lapid: 'Now we're OK'

On Friday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Ysabel Ortega opened up about her relationship with her father, Senator Lito Lapid.

"Growing up I was very close with my dad. I always talked about it, always grateful for it," she began.

They did however go through a rough patch. "It always happens to families, palagi namang nagkakaron ng hindi pagkakaintindihan," the Voltes V: Legacy actress said.

"Pero grateful ako kasi now we're OK. Now, we get to talk to each other, we see each other from time to time." 

Her father has been providing support for her studies, she continued. "Hindi naman nagkulang yung dad ko sa aspetong 'yon."

According to Ysabel, people are often surprised to learn she is the daughter of the former action star. "Nagugulat sila kasi unless people know about it, or ask about it, I never talk about it [being the daughter of Lito Lapid]."

During the Fast Talk round of the interview, Ysabel was asked what she inherited from her father. "Paninipa," she said laughing. — LA, GMA Integrated News
