Beauty Gonzalez reveals being in an abusive relationship in the past

Beauty Gonzalez is making her first-ever guesting on "Magpakailanman," where she will play Diana, who experiences hell in the arms of her own husband.

It turns out that the Kapuso actress is able to relate to her character.

In an interview with PEP.ph, she said, "Yes, it happened to me."

"It happened to me in the past, but I compromised a little bit but not everything about me," she added. "Not my values, kung ano ang ibinigay sa akin ng family ko, structure sa akin na pagkatao ko, hindi naman umabot sa gano’n."

She said that sometimes, people are dumb when it comes to love.

However, it will reach a point where "enough is enough."

"Minsan too much na talaga... darating ka rin sa point na gano’n," she said. "But, yeah, thankful ako na yung values ko, medyo malakas."

Beauty said she also learned something from her character Diana.

“Number one, love yourself and know your worth,” she said. “You have choices, you don’t have to be trapped in a situation. "Ang daming pwedeng hingan ng tulong. Pwede kang lumapit sa kahit sinong tao. I’m sure, there are still kind people pa rin who’s ready to help."

She added that people should also help others who find themselves in the same situation.

"Kasi sometimes, yung mga taong nasa gano’ng situwasyon, they feel hopeless na rin. Try to reach out. Kasi, wala namang masama kung tutulong ka rin, ‘di ba?" she said. “At the end of the day, you’re helping yourself if you’re helping other people.”

"Magpakailanman: Takas sa Impiyerno" will air Saturday, March 11 at 8:00 p.m. on GMA-7. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
