Mavy addresses comments saying his relationship with Kyline is just for publicity

Mavy Legaspi turned honest when he finally addressed comments about his tandem with Kyline Alcantara.

In an interview on “Updated with Nelson Canlas,” it was brought up how people would call their sweetness, bond, and special friendship as just for show in order to have a famous loveteam.

Mavy said that he would usually not get affected by comments like these, but "dahil on a personal end for the first time, na-affect din ako doon in a little way kasi alam ko genuine at totoo 'yung ginagawa ko para kay Kyline.”

He discussed how because of social media, stories are created after every post.

“People can twist around [and say] ‘Ay kunware stolen shot lang 'yun or kunware sweet-sweet si Mavy,’” he said.

“Like personal showing of gratitude and appreciation na suddenly, we turn it around [and say] ‘ay wala 'yun...plano lang 'yun ng management, sumabog lang sa internet or whatsoever.’”

However, the Kapuso actor said that what he does for Kyline is honest and does not involve work.

“But at the end of the day, it's her reaction and it's the way she appreciates my gesture that just turns everything around,” he said.

“Because sila naman, they're just there, bashers na ganun. But what's important to me is I see her smile on her face, so sapat na 'yon sa akin,” he added.

Kyline agreed, saying, “Wala po talagang scripted moments.”

Mavy and Kyline are the stars of the digital series “Zero Kilometers Away.” It airs at 6 p.m. on the GMA Portal, GMA Public Affairs’ YouTube channel, and GMA-owned Facebook pages.
