Elijah Alejo gets emotional talking about supporting her mom who has cancer
Elijah Alejo could not help but shed tears as she talked about her experience of being raised by a single mom.
On Wednesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the "Underage" star opened up on having to step up as the family's breadwinner in the absence of her father.
"It's really hard po kasi at a young age po, nagca-cancer po si mom so kung baga po, sa 'kin po, ako po 'yung breadwinner ng family," said Elijah, crying.
"Kailangan ko magtrabaho kasi 'di lang para sa 'kin, not only for me, for my expenses, for my education kasi pati 'yung pagpapagamot ng mom ko," she added.
She also spoke about growing up without a dad.
"Pag nakikita ko kasi 'yung mga classmates ko nun na sinusundo ng fathers nila, ganun, so parang para sa 'kin po, bakit ako wala? Bakit?"
"Hindi naman po sa di ako grateful na si mom po 'yung nag-alaga sa 'kin pero there's a side of me na curious, longing," she said.
Tito Boy also asked her what she would say to her dad.
She replied, "Bakit wala ka nung kailangan kita, nung kailangan ka namin?"
"Underage" airs Monday to Friday at 4:05 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime after "Unica Hija."
