Ruru Madrid cried during 'The Write One' wedding scene because it was Bianca Umali in front of him

Ruru Madrid couldn’t help but shed tears during a wedding scene with Bianca Umali on “The Write One.”

In an episode of “Updated with Nelson Canlas,” Ruru admitted that a huge factor of it was because Bianca was the one in front of him.

“Siguro naging mas totoo siya kasi si Bianca 'yung nakikita ko sa harapan ko, si Bianca 'yung nandoon sa eksena. Syempre iba na 'yung koneksyon naming dalawa,” he said.

“'Yung time na naglalakad siya sabi ko, ‘Grabe, napakaganda nitong babaeng ‘to.’ Parang gusto ko na talaga siya makita na naka-wedding gown,” he added.

For Ruru, it's not difficult to imagine spending the rest of his life with Bianca.

“Para sa akin, ‘Wow, kung ito yung babae na makakasama ko habang buhay, why not, ‘di ba?’ Papangarapin ng lahat ng lalaki.”

The real-life couple also had their first on-screen kiss during that scene. Ruru said they made sure that it was going to be perfect for their viewers, resulting in a number of takes.

“Kasi first time kami makikita ng tao na mag-kiss, talagang pinaghandaan namin nang husto. Kahit na maganda na yung take 1, sabi ko ‘Direk, baka pwede nating ulitin kasi parang may mas igaganda pa.’”

Also starring Paul Salas and Mikee Quintos, “The Write One” is a collab of GMA and Viu Philippines.
