Carla Abellana shares reason for split with Tom Rodriguez: ‘Disrespect, lying, no change’

Carla Abellana opened up about the reason for her split with former husband Tom Rodriguez.

On Thursday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Carla said it was because it came to a point where she’s had enough. 

“Napaka daming dahilan," she began. "But basically, bottom line po is kumbaga umabot na po sa breaking point. Sobra na po,” Carla said.

“There was still disrespect, all the lying, and all that. There was no change. Hindi po ‘yon first time na nangyari sa’min pero ito po ay taken to a different level. Extreme na po, mas malala na.”

Carla first detailed reasons of their split in June last year. Then, the actress said she was not being treated well in their relationship, saying “I was disrespected. I was betrayed. I was lied to. I was used. I was shamed. I was made to look stupid.”

Carla also opened up how she couldn’t handle that even her family and loved ones had to suffer.

“Para gawan pa ako at ang pamilya ko ng mas marami pang kasamaan at kataksilan sa mga susunod na araw, linggo, at buwan, sobra-sobra na ang sakit at pagdurog ng puso at pagkatao ko.”

Carla and Tom tied the knot in October 2021. In June 2022, Tom said he is already divorced from Carla.
