Lexi Gonzales and Gil Cuerva go on Valentine's date, reveal how they first met

Lexi Gonzales and Gil Cuerva revealed how they first met as they went on a Valentine's Day date and food trip in Tagaytay.

On Lexi Gonzales' vlog, the couple said that they first met on the GMA show "Taste Buddies," when Lexi guested on an episode.

Lexi said, "Gandang-ganda siya sa 'kin," which Gil said was "true."

However, Lexi also said that she thought he was "suplado" during the first guesting, but later realized that he was nice when she guested on the show for a second time.

"After nun, 'di niya ako makalimutan," she joked about Gil, which Gil said was also true.

But after the second guesting, Gil said Lexi "made the moves to me." Lexi messaged Gil first, even though she felt shy.

"Napapansin ko naman na cute ka nun," Lexi said, adding that he was the "shy type."

Gil added that Lexi was his favorite date on "Taste Buddies."

"I like you 'cause of the way you treat people. There's something about you that's genuine. I don't think you're fake," Gil said.

Yet, like any relationship, they also have their challenges. They say their main challenge is making time for each other.

"You're a busy, hardworking girl. On top of that, you have a family to look after. Naturally, you don't have as much time," Gil said.

In fact, they shared that they hadn't seen each other for a week before that Valentine's Day date.

Gil said, "Thank you for making time for me kasi you never usually have time."

Lexi said that she also appreciated that he made time for her and even woke up early for her that day, which she knows was an extra effort on his part.

"I really feel special when I'm with you," Lexi said, adding, "You make me feel so loved so thank you."

During their conversation, Lexi also began to get teary-eyed and emotional, talking about how she would feel tired from work and he picks her up and brings her food.

"You make me feel like I'm at home," Lexi said.

"You're my home," Gil said to Lexi, which she said back to him again also.

"Aren't you tired?" Lexi asked.

"I'm never tired of you," Gil replied.

Gil previously confirmed that Lexi is his girlfriend on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" while Lexi previously said on Instagram that Gil was her "plot twist."
