Does Carla Abellana regret marrying Tom Rodriguez? Kapuso actress answers

Carla Abellana bravely took on Bea Alonzo's "Lie Detector Challenge" and answered several questions about her separation from Tom Rodriguez.

The Kapuso actress has previously opened up on her failed marriage, but Bea's queries and the polygraph test unearthed new insights from Carla.

Asked if she regrets getting married, Carla first answered "no" but it was determined to be a lie.

"S'yempre gusto kong sabihin, 'No,' kasi kahit papano from 'yung bang pa'no tayo pinalaki sa kultura natin, dahil Catholic din ako, na parang no regrets dapat kasi part 'yan ng plan ni God, mga ganun, ganun," she explained.

"But then, honestly, kung si Carla, tanggalin mo lahat 'yun, yes! Talagang magsisi ako," Carla added.

She also said that she is not getting back with her ex-husband Tom. While she believes in second and even third chances, she doesn't believe in fourth, fifth, and beyond.

"Kaya nga 'chance' e, 'di ba? There has to be change. 'Yun bang ganun. Di pwedeng paulit-ulit," she said.

When asked if Carla would ever talk to Tom again, she said, "Ever, oo naman. Anytime soon, no. Parang ganun. I wouldn't say naman never."

"Plus, we're in the same industry," she added, saying that she would prefer not to work with Tom though. "Ayoko sana," she said.

She also shared that she had no regrets about handling the breakup but wished it wasn't so public.

She also said the whole ordeal changed her.

"Honestly, nasa process pa ako of 'yung changing. I wouldn't say I'm already a changed person, pero I can definitely see changes already na unti-unti pa lang nangyayari so, mahabang process sya," she said.

Meanwhile, Carla also revealed if anyone was courting her.

"Nagpaparamdam, oo," she said. "Sa nanliligaw, wala."

Carla said she doesn't imagine herself getting married in the future, but she said, "I'm hoping that I will fall in love again."

All in all, she considers herself blessed.

"No matter what, 'di ba, the fact na you're alive, you're well, 'yung ganun ba, safe so, blessed pa din 'yun," Carla said.

Carla and Tom tied the knot in October 2021. Rumors of their breakup began when Tom unfollowed Carla on Instagram in January last year.

In June 2022, Tom announced that he is already divorced from Carla.
