Paolo Contis owns up to mistakes in past relationships: 'Ang tanda ko na para magkamali ng ganito'

Paolo Contis has become a controversial figure after his breakup with LJ Reyes, with whom he has a young daughter, in 2021.

As he is also separated from his ex-wife, Lian Paz, with whom he has two children, some think this is already pattern of behavior that gives him a bad reputation.

On Friday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the veteran talk show host directly asked Paolo about his thoughts on how the public sees him.

"I would like to think that I'm a good person na minsan gumagawa ng mali," he said. "Fact is lahat ng mali ko alam ko kaya nga ako nag-sorry eh."

"I posted an apology because I know I was wrong. Nagrason ba ako? Wala namang rason ako dun sa sinabi ko," he said. "I knew I was wrong, I said I was sorry. I don't wanna justify my mistakes, because ang mistake eh mistake."

In 2021, Paolo apologized to LJ, Lian, and his children following his split with LJ and admitted to having a third party in their relationship. 

He also asked bashers to direct all their hate towards him, saying that all the blame lies with him alone.

Paolo told Tito Boy that he lacked the maturity to properly handle the situations he faced before, but he is now learning to own up to his mistakes.

"Mga late last year, naisip ko, mag-ti-39 na ako. Parang ang tanda ko na para magkamali ng ganito," he said, his voice breaking. "So I'm fixing it, I'm fixing it."

In the same interview, Paolo admitted that he was not providing child support for his daughters, acknowledging it as one of his mistakes. He also said his biggest fear is for his children to hate him.
