Paolo Contis on his children: 'My biggest fear is for them to actually hate me'

Paolo Contis has opened up on his relationship with his three children in light of his shortcomings as a father.

On Friday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Paolo became emotional as he talked about his love and his fears for Xonia, Xylene, and Summer.

Xonia and Xylene are his daughters with ex-wife Lian Paz, while Summer is his daughter with ex-partner LJ Reyes.

"My biggest fear is for them to actually hate me," he said, admitting that he currently has no relationship with his children.

According to Paolo, he last saw Xonia and Xylene around six years ago. Meanwhile, he last saw Summer two years ago.

"Gusto kong bumawi sa dalawa," he said. "'Yun medyo malalim lalim na 'yung pagkukulang ko so hindi ko sila masisisi. 'Yung kay Summer biglaan kasi eh."

"Kay Summer, nami-miss ko siya sobra," he said. "Lagi kong kasama 'yun sa taping, tapos biglang naputol. 'Pag uwi ko galing Sorsogon paalis na sila eh," he said.

Asked what kind of relationship he hopes to have with his children in the future, Paolo said he will be content to be friends with them.

"Civil lang, 'wag lang galit. Hindi ko kailangang mahalin nila ako kasi hindi ko 'yun masisisi," he said.
