Trina Candaza responds to Carlo Aquino's claims about their co-parenting setup for daughter Mithi

Trina Candaza has responded to Carlo Aquino's claims about their co-parenting setup for their daughter Mithi.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Trina said she was "offended" to see that some people think Carlo pays for all their expenses.

"'Di ko raw pinapahiram si Mithi at siya ang bumubuhay sa aming dalawa. That's not true kasi I also pay half of our expenses so para sa akin, dalawa kaming nagpo-provide," she said.

("He said I don't let him spend time with Mithi and he provides for both of us. That's not true because I also pay half of our expenses so for me, the two of us provides.")

"Nakaka-offend sa part ko kasi nagatrabaho rin ako," she added. "Kay Carlo kasi, 'yung sustento niya, he can earn it in a day pero 'yung pino-provide ko na half, ilang trabaho 'yung katapat."

("I feel offended on my part because I also work. Carlo can earn what he provides in a day but I have to work several jobs for the half that I provide.")

Trina also denied that she does not allow Mithi to spend time with Carlo.

"Hindi ko pinagdadamot. It's just that hindi siya pumupunta [I do not deny him our child. It's just that he does not come]," she said.

She gave Christmas last year as an example.

"I didn't invite him pero 'yung partner ng sister ko, in-invite siya do'n sa bahay so for me, it's his choice kung gusto niya ba talagang makasama 'yung anak niya. Pwede siyang pumunta do'n."

("I didn't invite him but my sister's partner invited him to the house so for me it's his choice if really want to spend time with his child. He could have visited there.")

"He chose na mag-stay do'n sa bahay nila and spend his Christmas with his new girlfriend or girl and with his family. Okay lang naman but the problem is, he posted it na hindi ko pinapahiram."

("He chose to stay at home and spend Christmas with his new girlfriend or girl and with his family. That's fine but the problem is he posted that I deny him our child.")

Trina said she would also update him even without Carlo asking. Her only rule when Mithi is with him is for him to allot his time to their daughter.

"Mamili siya kung kanino niya i-spend 'yung time niya—sa daughter niya o sa new girl niya or sa friends niya. Mithi doesn't deserve na may kahati sa time since minsan na lang niya makasama ang daddy niya."

("He should choose whom he would spend his time with—his daughter or his new girl or his friends. Mithi doesn't deserve to share his time because she only occasionally sees her daddy.")

This comes after Carlo reportedly said in a previous interview that he hasn't seen his daughter for months now. According to him, he reached out to her but Trina had no answer.

According to Trina, she is "open" to discussing their co-parenting setup and issues privately.

Trina said she and Carlo broke up in December 2021. In September last year, they reunited for Mithi's second birthday.
