Dating expert reveals a huge green flag for queer people
The LGBTQIA+ community has its own set of red and green flags when it comes to dating.
In partnership with online dating app Tinder, Coach Vee, the Philippines' first US-certified Matchmaker and dating expert, revealed asking how people should address them based on their "pronouns" is a huge dating green flag for the LGBTQIA+ community.
"This is the bare minimum," Coach Vee said. "When they ask you how you want to be addressed, a.k.a. your pronouns, that's a glowing green flag right there."
According to the dating expert, when someone asks how you want to be addressed, it only shows they really want you to be comfortable.
"This shows how respectful they are of your sense of identity," she said. "If they care about even the simplest things, your match is a keeper."
Another green flag that Coach Vee said is when your match celebrates your gender identity and expression.
"If your match neither tells you how to dress and act, nor asks you to tone down yourself, check that box!" Coach Vee said.
In a recent study, Tinder named Quezon City as the top online dating hotspot in the Philippines.
In the same survey, Tinder revealed that "situationship" is considered by many daters as a valid relationship status. — LA, GMA Integrated News
