Does Tom Rodriguez still love Carla Abellana?

Tom Rodriguez gave a rare interview where he talked about his life in the United States, moving on, the rumors about him, and of course, Carla Abellana.

Speaking to Ogie Diaz on his YouTube channel, the actor talked about his feelings for Carla after he was asked whether he still loves his ex-wife.

"Of course," Tom said right away. "Hindi naman agad-agad mawawala 'yun [It's not going to disappear instantly]."

"It will transform into other things. Siguro the love may never disappear but it will change, it will develop, it will grow on its own way."

In an interview with Nelson Canlas, Carla was asked the same question, and said that she cannot answer with a yes or no.

Tom said that at this point, his heart is still in the process of healing.

"Hindi naman madali 'yun eh [It's not easy]. It's gonna be tricky to navigate," he said. "It's gonna take a long time but it's underway."

Tom revealed last June that he and Carla are already divorced. It was filed in the US because Tom is an American citizen. Carla previously said it still hasn't sunk in because divorce does not exist in the Philippines.

However, Tom said the process of getting their divorce recognized in the Philippines is already underway.

"At least para both of us can be truly free and start over in our lives," he said. 

Carla and Tom got married in October 2021. Rumors of their split started in January when Tom unfollowed Carla on Instagram.
