Aicelle Santos mourns death of mom: 'Fly free now. Mahal na mahal na mahal po kita'
Aicelle Santos is mourning the death of her mom, Leonila "Onnie" Santos.
On Instagram Thursday, the Kapuso singer posted a photo of a yellow butterfly perched on her left hand and said "I know this is you ma."
"Fly free now. Mahal na mahal na mahal po kita," she added.
In the comment section, her fellow celebrity friends were quick to express their condolences to Aicelle, who had been updating her followers about the condition of her mother.
In August, she shared a photo of bedside medical equipment, and asked for prayers because her mom was in critical condition.
A month later, Aicelle appealed for help. Her mother remained in comatose state three weeks after suffering a cardiac arrest.
"Three weeks ago, my mother Onnie's heart stopped for nine minutes. It was enough to do a lot of damage to her brain, and to this day she remains unconscious in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital close to home in Manila, Philippines," Aicelle wrote then.
On her husband's Instagram page, Mark Zambrano posted a black and white photo of his hand on top of his mother-in-law's.
"Salamat, momshie. Pahinga na po," he simply wrote.
Our hearts go out to Aicelle and the rest of her family. Our prayers are with them in this most difficult time.
