Herlene Budol prays to late grandmother for guidance ahead of Miss Planet International

Herlene Nicole “Hipon Girl” Budol paid a visit to her late grandmother to ask for guidance before she competes at the Miss Planet International beauty pageant.

Seated next to her tombstone, Herlene said on Instagram, “Nay, gabayan mo ulit ako [sa] panibagong laban.”

Nanay Bireng, Herlene’s beloved grandmother, passed away in June due to kidney failure and complications like high blood, diabetes, and pneumonia.

A lola's girl, Herlene always makes sure to honor her grandmother, like when she graduated from college and carried her portrait.

Herlene is set to compete in her first international pageant, Miss Planet International, with the coronation night set for November 19 in Kampala, Uganda.

She previously placed first runner-up in Binibining Pilipinas and bagged seven special awards. — LA, GMA News
