Julius Naranjo celebrates 5 years with Hidilyn Diaz: 'We've experienced the unimaginable'
Julius Naranjo wrote the sweetest letter for his wife Hidilyn Diaz for their fifth anniversary.
The weightlifting coach began by saying that if they could tell their five-year story, “we’d be able to make a movie.”
“We’ve experienced the unimaginable and have achieved something [we] never would’ve imagined together. But with all the things we’ve been through, the good and bad, we’ve always [chosen] each other,” he said.
Julius continued that things are hardly ever easy for them and that if people would understand their story, there would be a different perspective.
“But it only makes our journey even more meaningful and allows us to work on being better people,” Julius said.
“To more journeys, hardships, pain, and success. Let’s continue to build our future for [us] and for weightlifting,” he added. “Happy anniversary.”
He ended his letter by signing with "husband."
Under his post, Hidiyln replied, "Happy anniversary my love."
Hidilyn and Julius tied the knot in a ceremony in Baguio in July, one year after Hidilyn won the Philippines’ first Olympic gold medal for weightlifting. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA News
