Melissa Gohing shares her birth story: 'My water broke in the parking lot of the mall'

Melissa Gohing and Rocco Nacino recently welcomed their baby boy, Ezren Raffaello.

On Instagram, Friday, Melissa shared photos from her delivery and the story of her birth via caesarean section.

Melissa admitted feeling scared at first as everything happened to fast.

"We were supposed to have shabu-shabu with Nico's [Rocco] sister & her family but my water broke in the parking lot of the mall," she said.

Rocco's family supported them as they rushed to the hospital, and Melissa said stepping into the deliver room felt just like the movies with everything seemingly slowing down.

"To be honest, I didn't know that the anesthesia will make you shiver. I was shaking the whole time and it scared me but when I heard Nico's voice as he entered the delivery room before 'Baby Out' it calmed me down," she continued.

"After a few minutes, I heard my baby's cry and it was the most magical moment," she added.

Melissa said their child is a meconium baby but otherwise healthy.

According to Healthline, meconium is fecal material produced by a fetus before birth. The baby may pass the stool while still in the uterus where it can mix with the amniotic fluid that the baby can breathe in.

Melissa thanked her doctors for taking care of her and the baby. She also expressed her appreciation for Rocco for being there for her every step of the way.

"I know he's super tired because he didn't have any help to taking care of me and [Ezren Raffaello]. Not once did I hear him complain. He was still smiling while making baby EZ calm down at 3 am!" she said.

"I know he's going to be a great daddy. Now, he is doing everything to be the best daddy for our EZ," she added. "Thank you Lord for blessing me with this family."
