Andrea Torres on the power of silence, how to move on from heartbreak

Up to this day, Andrea Torres has never disclosed the story behind her breakup with Derek Ramsay two years ago.

The Kapuso actress previously said she is aware that some people are angry about her decision not to share details of their split.

In the latest episode of "Updated With Nelson Canlas," Andrea opened up more on how she handles relationship heartbreaks.

"Hindi ako naniniwala talaga sa pag ganti e," she said. "Kasi parang pag may ginawa sa 'yo, pagka hinandle mo siya in a peaceful way, kumbaga mas OK 'yun kaysa 'yung may ginawa sa 'yo gaganti ka, e 'di parang ikaw na rin 'yung masama."

Andrea said it's better to choose to do what's right. She added that she believes in karma, that what goes around comes around.

Kumbaga wag mo hayaang i-blur nila 'yun for you kasi alam mo naman kung ano ang tamang gagawin e," she said.

Asked what is the first step to moving on, Andrea said acceptance is probably the key.

She also said she chooses to believe that things happen for a reason.

Andrea plays Sisa in GMA-7's historical portal fantasy series "Maria Clara at Ibarra," which airs on weekdays after "24 Oras."
