Ruru Madrid says Bianca Umali is his inspiration to keep getting better in his career

Ruru Madrid is very proud to say that his girlfriend Bianca Umali has been his rock during his life's most difficult challenges.

In an episode of "Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel" aired on Tuesday, the "Lolong" actor said that Bianca is the one who constantly reminds him that whatever is meant for him in his life and career, he'll eventually get it.

According to Ruru, Bianca's career is flourishing in a way that all her projects are working out well, which inspired him to better himself and his craft.

"Noong dumating si Bianca sa buhay ko, I stopped everything. I stopped going out, nag-focus ako sa career ko, tina-try ko 'yung best ko ibalik 'yung dating ko," Ruru told Pia.

The Kapuso actor said he returned to his competitive phase and started exploring all sorts of things to harness his acting skills when Bianca came into his life.

"Noong time na 'yun, nag-e-explore ako when it comes to my career, pero sa lahat, si Bianca, andoon siya," he said.

During the time when "Lolong" kept being postponed from airing due to the pandemic, Ruru said that Bianca kept his faith unwavering for the show even when he felt like giving up.

"Siya 'yung naging sandalan ko, siya 'yung kapag umiiyak ako, siya 'yung taga-salo lahat ng mga problema ko," he said.

"Sabi niya sakin, tandaan mo 'tong sasabihin ko, dadating 'yan sayo. Hindi man ngayon, pero dadating 'yan sayo dahil alam ko na binibigay mo ang puso mo sa bawat ginagawa mo," he added.

Ruru confirmed that he is in a relationship with Bianca during his guesting at "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" in August. The celebrity couple have been together for four years. —Hermes Tunac/JCB, GMA News
