Michelle Madrigal says new relationship is 'not in my plan. I wanted to be single for as long as I could'

We are so happy for Michelle Madrigal!

The Austin-based Filipina celebrity said on Instagram Wednesday morning that being in a relationship was not on her agenda.

"I wanted to stay single as long as I could, but boy I'm so glad it happened," read a portion of Mitch's caption that accompanied the reel of cute couple photos with her new boyfriend.

The reel featured holiday content of the couple who were constantly holding hands and being in a warm embrace. It also showed a video of Michelle's man — in uniform, if we may add — holding a cup or coffee and smiling at her.

"It’s so freeing to feel like a lady again. Not having to be in a fight or flight mode all the time," Michelle said. "It feels like home."

In August, Michelle revealed having a new man in her life with an Instagram post, on which her ex-husband Troy Woofolk left a comment saying they were "a cute couple."

A couple of weeks later, Troy posted a family photo with Michelle and her boyfriend.

Michelle and Troy split up in November 2021. Their divorce was finalized in April 2022.

So if anybody needs to hear it: Let Michelle's story be a reminder that endings bring with them fresh beginnings too. — LA, GMA News
