Vicki Belo says she kept her promise to late father to 'make the family name famous'

Vicki Belo penned a heartfelt birthday letter to her late father, who passed away 18 years ago but whom she still misses “every single day.”

Posting a throwback photo with her parents on Instagram, the celebrity doctor thanked her dad Enrique “Ike” Belo for the wisdom he shared with her.

“The lessons you taught me have guided my life, to always be kind and considerate and to treat every single human being with respect—because we are all God’s children,” Vicki wrote.

She then said that she was able to keep her promise to make the Belo name known.

“I hope you can see I kept my promise to make our family name famous so that people would spell it right—Belo Instead of Bello," she said.

"[It’s] even a verb daddy as [in,] pa-Belo ka," she added.

She also thanked God for giving her such a "wonderful father."

Vicki is a wonderful parent herself to her daughter Scarlet Snow. She and husband Hayden Kho welcomed her in 2015. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA News
