Markus Paterson sets the record straight: ‘I have NEVER, and WILL never lay my hands on a woman'
Markus Paterson has been dropping bombs left and right following Janella Salvador's revelation that she is now a single mom.
On Twitter Tuesday, the actor responded to "some tweets circulating" and said he has never harmed or committed violence against any woman.
"FACT: I have NEVER, and WILL never lay my hands on a woman. My parents raised me right. I’ll address the rest on the podcast," he wrote.
Markus' statement came after an old interview of Ogie Diaz with his reportedly ex-partner Janella Salvador resurfaced online.
In the interview, Janella talked about her trauma of being around drunk men, and having been physically hurt in her past relationship.
When Ogie pointed to Markus and asked "so nung nalaman ni Markus yun, okay siya?" Janella said, "we're working on it." They were setting limits, she said.
Markus' tweet came at the heels of a viral video where he was seen playing beer pong with his fellow actors Anthony Jennings, Jae Miranda, Gello Marquez, and Aljon Mendoza.
Posted on September 3 on the Rise Artists Studio’s YouTube channel, the group shared their insights on love and relationships.
When asked about his next relationship, Markus said, “Anong susunod na relationship? Tang i—, kung may lessons ako sa relationships ko, [it’s] never to f—ing date someone in the industry.”
He added, “Wag niyo i-cut yan, seryoso ako diyan.”
In a vlog episode of broadcaster Bernadette Sembrano published on Saturday, Janella Salvador revealed she is now a single mom.
