Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde are now engaged!

Maine herself announced the happy news on Instagram, Friday, posting a wacky photo of her and Arjo while showing the ring on her finger.

In another photo, they were both smiling as she rested her left hand on Arjo's shoulder.

"Wait, whaaaat??? We’re engaged?!" Maine wrote in the caption.

Maine admitted in 2019 that she and Arjo are dating . They celebrated their third anniversary in December last year.

As early as 2020, Arjo said he and Maine have spoken about marriage . Maine, for her part, said she won't get married until her own siblings have settled down.

"Wala pa tayo doon kasi lima kaming magkakapatid tapos dalawa pa 'yong kapatid ko na hindi pa nakakasal so sunod-sunod 'yan," she said back then.

Last May, Maine attended her sister's wedding as one of the bridesmaids. Her brother, meanwhile, got married last year.
