Sanya Lopez reveals she’s ‘NBSB’ by choice, wants future BF to be ‘non-showbiz’

No one defines a modern “Hot Maria Clara” quite like the singer herself, Sanya Lopez.

In a virtual press conference for Sanya's first single on Thursday, the 25-year-old actress defined the modern Maria Clara as someone who had a voice and was not afraid to use it, as well as someone who knew what she wanted.

At this stage of her life, the Sparkle Artist said she was still NBSB (no boyfriend since birth) and preferred it that way, which is why she is riding solo at the GMA Thanksgiving Gala.

“Ngayon, naka-focus po ako sa sarili ko. Naging busy din po talaga ako,” the “First Yaya” actress said.

According to Sanya, because she’s still busy with her career, she hasn’t given much thought to entering a romantic relationship.

“May mga nanligaw din naman pero hindi pa siguro talaga ako nagbibigay ng time para sa kanila,” she said.

Sanya also said it would be unfair to her future boyfriend if she committed to him while she hadn’t even had the time to focus on him.

“Once na magka-boyfriend ako, gusto ko may time na ako para sa kaniya,” the “Hot Maria Clara” singer added.

Sanya also said she would want someone outside of the show business industry for her future boyfriend.

“Sa panahon ngayon, nakakatakot pumasok sa relasyon na nasa showbiz eh [kaya] mas lamang [sa akin] na [non-showbiz] siya, pero kung meron na taga-showbiz na manligaw, okay lang din naman,” she said.
