Lorin Bektas shares Turkey trip in a vlog: 'Possibly the most monumental moments of my life thus far'

It took Ruffa Gutierrez's daughter Lorin Bektas a while to decide whether or not to make public her and her sister Venice's reunion vlog with father Yilmaz Bektas.

But on Monday, she chose to do so since she wanted to impart an important message: "The right people will come back into your life in God's perfect timing."

In Lorin's vlog titled "Returning to Turkey," she shared her and Venice's much-awaited reunion with their father after 15 years.

From the moment they were fetched in Istanbul's airport, the siblings turned emotional, when they got their first hug with Yilmaz.

"Saw my baba for the first time in 15 years," Lorin captioned the scene showing their hug with their father.

In the 28-minute video, Ruffa's firstborn shared glimpses of their time with their dad and older sister, Ilknaz Lauren Bektas.

The highlight of their trip was spending Father's Day with Yilmaz.

On the way to their Father's Day dinner, Yilmaz's three daughters were seen writing a letter in the car while sobbing out of happiness that they were finally able to spend this day together with him.

"This is possibly the most monumental moments of my life thus far that Ive decided to vlog and share in the world," Lorin said.

According to the 18-year-old, she decided to share this part of their lives with the public partly because Ruffa and Yilmaz's split 15 years ago was very public.

But more than that, Lorin wanted to be an inspiration to children of broken marriages.

"There were definitely moments in my life where I was convinced, I didn't know when I was going to see my father side again. I didn't know if I was ever even going to touch Turkey," Lorin looked back.

"I want you to know that its possible to heal those relationships," she added.

Lorin said she's at a point where she's on good speaking terms with her dad and his side, and their parents are entering a "new chapter of co-parenting" both her and Venice.

"The right people will come back in to your life in God's perfect timing," she concluded.

Ruffa and Yilmaz separated in 2007. Their marriage was annulled in 2012.
