Gina Pareño reveals she’s part of LGBTQ community: ‘Nagmamahal ako nang tapat’
Gina Pareño has revealed that she is part of the LGBTQ community.
On Ogie Diaz’s latest vlog released Monday, the host was talking with the 75-year-old actress about her life and career when he mentioned he had noticed she had been bringing an urn with her.
It was later revealed that the ashes belonged to “Doktora Bong” or Nenita Vidal, an actress in the 1950s. Ogie asked Gina why she always had the urn with her.
“Hindi naman sa ayaw kong i-let go kaya lang ang dami kong utang na loob do’n atsaka mabait sa akin, tinuturuan ako, ine-educate ako,” she said, in tears.
“Tinuruan niya ako kung paano kumilos, lahat. Tapos iyon nga, binigay niya sa akin iyong naiwan niyang bahay. Alam kong mahal na mahal ako no’n,” she added.
Ogie then asked Gina if she would admit that she was part of the LGBTQ community.
To which, the actress answered immediately: “Oo! Bakit? Problema? At saka nagmamahal ako nang tapat.”
Ogie told Gina he recalled that she always told him she was willing to lose everything just to bring Doktora Bong back. Gina then confirmed she considered the late actress her “lucky charm.”
“Buhayin siya ngayon? Ibabalik ko lahat iyong naiwan niya. Iyong binigay niyang bahay, kanya,” said Gina.
Gina said she was no longer looking for love and she felt complete with her children Michael and Racquel, who had been taking care of her at home. – RC, GMA News
