Pauleen Luna says age gap with husband Vic Sotto 'was never an issue'

Some people struggle to date someone with a huge age gap with them, but Pauleen Luna and Vic Sotto ain't one of them.

In an episode of Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel, Pauleen told Pia straight up that the "age gap was never an issue" between them.

“[Kapag] kaming dalawa lang, wala talaga eh. Parang siya si Vic, ako lang si Pauleen,” the actress said.

According to Pauleen, Vic is really just a simple man in reality, contrary to how he isportrayed on TV.

"The person that you see on TV is so different from [the] person that I live with. Nakakatuwa ‘yung pagka-simple niya,” Pauleen added.

It was when she realized how happy they were together that all negative comments thrown their way about their age gap stopped mattering.

"I got called a lot of names by people I do not know and by people that I know," she said.

In the end, Pauleen told Vic, "you and me against the world."

The 33-year-old mom of one also said that the comments they received on their relationship just made them stronger as a couple instead of breaking them apart.

"I'm sure ang dami ring comments na nakakarating sa kaniya, kaya I think it made our relationship stronger because we [are] really in it together," Pauleen concluded.

Pauleen and Vic tied the knot in 2016. After a year, they welcomed their firstborn, Talitha Maria.

In January 2021, the married couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. — LA, GMA News
