Xian Lim answers when he plans to marry Kim Chiu

With Xian Lim and Kim Chiu being a couple for quite some time now, some people can’t help but wonder when they are planning to settle down. 

On “Updated with Nelson Canlas,” the “False Positive” actor was asked if he saw himself getting married soon. 

“The direct answer is I don’t see myself getting married soon,” he said.

“Ang daming nagtatanong, ‘Xian, naniniwala ka ba sa idea of marriage?’ Yes, of course, I do. But marriage, I think ’di siya minamadali,” he added.

“Wala na akong masagot sa kanila. Nilalaro ko nalang talaga yung sagot ko. Sometimes, I say siguro mga 60 years old, 70, 80. It’s because I just play around.”

Xian said he could not say a specific date, but one thing’s certain: “We love each other so much and that’s what’s important.”

The Kapuso actor also set the record straight with rumors that they had already tied the knot. Xian said they had not and they would inform everyone once they were ready.

“When the time comes, maybe I don’t know, maybe itatago muna namin then when we’re ready, we will announce it just like our relationship noong nagsisimula kami,” he said.

Though their lives are an open book, Xian said he wanted to keep their marriage, once it happens, private at first to protect what he and Kim had.

“Once it’s out there, ang daling puntiryahin, target-in, it’s so easy to take the happiness away,” Xian said.

“Ang daming elemento once you have it out there,” he added.

“So I think dapat (ilabas lang) kapag ready ka na. Parang bahay. Kapag solid na yung foundation ng bahay, hindi na ’yan guguho eh, ’di ba?”
