Single father asks for help to get checkup for his 4 children with special needs

A single father of four is asking for help to get his kids a checkup as they seem to have special needs.

According to a "24 Oras" report Monday, Willy Gutaba from Santa Maria, Bulacan was left caring for his kids when his wife died of cancer. He noticed that his children appear to need medical attention.

"'Yung panganay, nung seven years old, nakikita ko parang may kakaiba na hindi siya nagma-matured. 'Yung pangalawa naman, napansin ko sa kanya, six years old na siya, hindi pa siya nagsasalita," he said.

("The eldest, when they were seven years old, I saw that there was something different 'cause they were not acting more mature. The second, meanwhile, I noticed that they weren't speaking even at six years old.")

"Lahat po sila pinanganak nang normal [They were all born normal]," he added.

Willy cares for his kids while also working as a tailor. He is saddened, however, when they have no choice but to eat the mangoes they planted as his earnings aren't enough for more.

He messaged the GMA Kapuso Foundation's official Facebook page to ask for help.

"Sana po may tumulong sa 'min sa pagpapa checkup sa mga anak ko [I hope someone helps us to have my children checked]," he said.

The GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, Shopee, GCash, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
