Winwyn Marquez admits it’s been ‘very hard’ after giving birth

Winwyn Marquez admitted to having a hard time weeks after giving birth to her first child Luna.

In a YouTube video released Sunday, the 2017 Miss Reina Hispanoamericana said she has been facing struggles for the past weeks.

“Medyo sleep-deprived, tired, and hindi ko maintindihan. It’s veen a rough two weeks,” Winwyn said.

“It’s hard. Very hard. Sobrang hirap and overwhelming, exhausting, but fulfilling," she added.

Winwyn promised to share a more detailed video of what she’s been going through, but she took the time to remind her fellow first-time moms that everything will be all right.

“It’s not easy but please do remember (that) you’re not alone and it’s okay to cry and breakdown. At the end of the day, kakayanin natin for our baby,” she said. “It’s gonna be better.”

“I know maraming fears, questions kung ito na ba talaga yung life mo, good mom ba ako, natatakot ka mag-isa when your partner goes back to work or sino tutulong, but you have your friends, family.”

The actress said it pays to reach out to your loved ones when you’re having a hard time.

“It’s not bad to ask for help. Kahit alam niyong kaya niyong gawin mag-isa, minsan hindi talaga.”

Though she has been having moments of sadness, Winwyn said she is still over the moon to finally have Luna. She is also thankful to everyone who is by her side in this new chapter of her life.

“I’m happy that Luna is with us, that I have a supportive partner, and I can’t ask for more. I’m happy that I have really great doctors with me, I have a loving family and friends.”

“Even if it’s hard, I know every day [is] gonna get easier,” she continued. “When you see your baby smile and she’s okay, mawawala lahat yung pagod and everything.”

In a previous Instagram post, Winwyn said she finds herself under a lot of pressure and resorts to crying nonstop for days. But going through this phase, she has learned how to seek help.
