Mariel Padilla on husband Robin being the front runner of senatorial elections: 'We are beyond grateful'

The results are still partial and unofficial but Mariel Padilla is just overjoyed and beyond grateful. Her husband, actor Robin Padilla is the front runner of the senatorial elections, after all.

Posting a photo of the two of them on Instagram early Tuesday, Mariel said "My Senator is #1." 

"We are beyond grateful! Pilipinas, maraming maraming salamat," she continued, accompanying her message with multiple exclamation points and laughing/crying emojis.

Robin Padilla quickly took the lead of senatorial election results. As of 11:17 on Tuesday, he is still number 1 with 26,140,365 votes.
