Avril Lavigne is engaged!
On Instagram, the Pop Punk Queen announced that she and fellow pop-punk rocker Mod Sun got engaged on March 27.
Mod Sun popped the question in Paris, with the Eiffel Tower visible behind Avril.
He also shared photos of the special moment on his Instagram, with a romantic poem.
"The day we met I knew you were the one," he wrote. "Together forever til our days are done."
In an interview with PEOPLE, Avril said, "It was the most perfect, romantic proposal I could ever ask for."
"We were in Paris on a boat in the Seine River. We had a violin player, champagne and roses. It felt like time stood still, and it was just the two of us in the moment," she added.
Avril worked with Mod Sun for her latest album, "Love Sux."
"I knew we had a very strong unstoppable connection from the first week of writing and working together in the studio. Immediately," she said. "He made every day better. It was like I had known him forever. As time went on, things kept getting better, and it felt incredibly natural."
This will be Avril's third marriage. She was married to Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley from 2006 to 2009, and was married to Nickelback's Chad Kroeger for two years before splitting from him in 2015. —JCB, GMA News
