Ana Jalandoni posts bruised photo after Kit Thompson arrest

Ana Jalandoni on Friday shared a photo of her bruised face after the arrest of her boyfriend Kit Thompson, who was accused of assaulting and detaining her.

On Instagram, the actress shared a photo of herself at the beach alongside her bruised photo.

“When you love someone you will never ever harm them,” she wrote. “Minahal mo ba talaga?”

She then shared an advice to her followers: “This is me saying, you all should be careful out there.”

Jalandoni thanked those who checked up on her and added that she would be releasing a statement soon.

On Friday, Thompson was arrested after police got an emergency call for rescue at a hotel in Tagaytay City.

According to John Consulta’s “24 Oras” report Friday, the victim asked for help from a friend through social media, where she detailed the threats to her life.

Police immediately rescued her and rushed her to a hospital, while Thompson was arrested.

According to Tagaytay police, the two checked in Thursday at 6 p.m. They had a few drinks before the victim went up to the third floor to get network signal. Thompson followed her, found she was asleep, and carried her back to their room, where the assault happened.

“Mayroon siyang mga bruises, hematoma sa mukha, tapos allegedly inuntog pa daw ang ulo niya several times. Nakakaramdam siya ng dizziness,” said Tagaytay police chief PLTCOL Rolando Baula.

The suspect and his lawyers refused to be interviewed.

The victim’s sister, meanwhile, spoke about the incident. “Grabe talaga ’yung bugbog na ginawa sa kanya. Alam naman natin kung ano ’yung totoo,” she said.

Thompson has undergone inquest proceedings for violation of RA 9262 or violence against women and children.

Cornerstone Entertainment

In a statement issued Friday night, Thompson's management Cornerstone Entertainment  said it "does not condone any act of violence and profoundly value the dignity of women."

It clarified its earlier statement that asked the public "to be mindful of casting judgment based on unfounded reports being circulated online."

"We take this opportunity to clarify that our earlier statement was issued with no knowledge of any specific details as we were in receipt only of general allegations.  Neither were we privy to any photos of the incident," it said.

"In this delicate situation, we subscribe to the sound discretion of law enforcement and allow the wheels of justice to take its course," it added.
