Jeric Gonzales shares what he likes about girlfriend Rabiya Mateo
Jeric Gonzales and Rabiya Mateo are the sweetest lovebirds as they made their relationship Instagram official.
In an interview with Aubrey Carampel for "24 Oras," Jeric said the two of them are very proud to share their feelings for each other to everyone.
Asked what he likes about his girlfriend, the Kapuso actor did not hesitate to list down Rabiya's good traits.
"She's a very down to earth person talaga and a very warm-hearted person. Gusto pa sa kanya 'yung pagiging religious niya, 'yung pagiging family person niya," he said.
["What I also like about her is she is religious and a family person."]
Jeric said he has been a fan of Rabiya since 2020 when she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines.
He got the opportunity to get to know the beauty queen when they worked together in an episode of "Wish Ko Lang" shortly after Rabiya became a Kapuso.
Jeric said they were awkward at first, but their chemistry on-screen was apparently fueled by their real-life attraction towards each other.
"There was this scene nga na parang kailangan maging sweet namin, parang mag-po-propose ako sa kanya so parang di kami makatingin pareho sa isa't isa. Parang nahihiya na kinikilig," he said.
["There was this scene where we had to be sweet towards each other, like I was going to propose to her, so we couldn't look each other in the eye. It's like we're shy and feeling giddy at the same time."]
Jeric said he began courting Rabiya after the episode, and the rest is history.
The pair have been dating for two months and recently celebrated their monthsary.
