Saab Magalona's 2-year-old son Vito impresses with reading skills in these videos
Saab Magalona's two-year-old son Vito impressed and surprised his parents with his reading skills.
On Instagram, Saab posted a compilation of videos of Vito reading and counting.
Saab said she took an online course last month to learn more about creating a developmental program for Vito's older brother Pancho.
"In the course, I learned that younger siblings of brain-injured children are inclined to become advanced in many things," Saab wrote in the caption of her post.
Saab said she has been "making these flash cards to help with Pancho’s vision and cognitive development and sometimes Vito wants to look at the cards."
"I don’t have any set program for him, he just randomly looks at the cards or observes when I’m teaching his kuya," she added. "
A few weeks ago, Saab said said Vito surprised them by reading some cards.
Saab learned that "siblings of brain-injured children tend to develop significantly faster than their peers because of the neurologically rich environment the parents set up at home."
"The music we play, the safe spaces we’ve created where they’re free to explore and crawl, etc," she added.
Saab said more importantly what she also learned is "that they also tend to be the kindest and most compassionate people because of all the love and patience and understanding in the household."
"I love my family," Saab ended her note.
Saab and Jim tied the knot in January 2015, and have two children together: Pancho, 4, and Vito, 2. —JAB, GMA News.
