‘Meteor Garden’ star Barbie Hsu marries ex-BF DJ Koo 3 months after announcing divorce from Wang Xiao Fei

Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu is now married to South Korean musician DJ Koo, three months after she announced her divorce from Chinese businessman Wang Xiao Fei.

On their statements shared on Instagram Tuesday, DJ Koo said he reached out to the “Meteor Garden” star after hearing about her separation from Xiao Fei. 

“We are married,” he said, as translated by a report from The Straits Times. “To have such a destiny with a lover from over 20 years ago—this is a love we both want to cherish and continue.”

“When I heard the news of her divorce, I dug out her number from over 20 years ago and contacted her. Thankfully, her number has not changed and we reconnected,” he added.

The rapper said he decided not to waste more time, so he immediately asked Barbie to settle down.

“We have lost too much time together so I proposed marriage and Barbie finally agreed. After registering our marriage, we shall live together. I’m marrying late in life and I hope to receive everyone’s love and support.”

Meanwhile, Barbie reposted the statement to her feed with the caption: “Life is uncertain. I cherish the happiness I have in the present. I thank everything that has led me step by step to where I am now."

Barbie and her former husband Xiao Fei met in 2010 and married in the same year. The two welcomed a daughter in 2014 and a son in 2016. – Franchesca Viernes/RC, GMA News
