Diego Loyzaga reconciles with dad Cesar Montano after 7 years: 'I apologise for the impulsiveness of my youth'
Diego Loyzaga was finally able to reconcile with his father Cesar Montano after years full of difficulties.
In a recent Instagram post, Diego shared a photo of them smiling widely while his arm rested on Cesar’s shoulders and a selfie of theirs.
Following it up with some of their shots from way back, Diego shared his thoughts on their reconnection.
“[Seven] years is a long time for a son not to see his father. After seven years, after mistakes, God made a way to bring us together again. I apologise for the impulsiveness of my youth,” he wrote in the caption.
“If we could take back the words and the distance and the time wasted, I would. One thing we can do is make up for it," he added. "It was so good to see you and play ball with you today."
Towards the end, he took the time to remind his followers to “value your family and loved ones today for tomorrow is not promised,” which he will also start moving forward.
“As I mature, the more I wish saying sorry was enough to fix all of the world's problems. Just peace and love and nothing else matters,” he said.
Among those who showered Diego’s post with love were his half-sisters Angelina and Sam Cruz, and his mom Teresa Loyzaga.
“You make me proud, son. I love you,” Teresa wrote.
Their reunion came a few years after Diego expressed his frustrations on Cesar through a now deleted Instagram post, according to a PEP.ph report in 2017. —Franchesca Viernes/JAB, GMA News.
