Jewel Mische shares how she and husband Alister Kurzer deal with changes in relationship after becoming parents

Jewel Mische took to Instagram to share how she and her husband Alister Kurzer deal with the changes in their relationship after becoming parents.

On Instagram, Jewel shared a video of her family's simple bonding moments at home.

Jewel, who has been married with Alex since 2015, said "I don't get butterflies in my stomach when I see my husband, like when I did when we first met."

"Usually, my greetings with him after work include two screaming children and a baby in my arms and us saying 'hello' through the chaos," she added.

Jewel said she doesn't "lie awake at night with a smile plastered to my face thinking about him like I did when we were dating."

The former Starstruck Ultimate Sweetheart said, "I do lie in bed at night wondering if we have everything lined up for the kiddos, if we are doing okay as parents and if I do a good job showing him I love him." 

"Our life is not the romance you would see in a chick flick with lavish dates and alone time. It was a lot more like that when we didn't have kids," she added.

Jewel said it now has "a lot of cleaning our house, taking the kids here and there, keeping the household running, and just all around trying to make the best life for each other."

She said she didn't know at first that their relationship would make her feel most at home.

"The place I can break down and know I'll be met with hugs and prayers," she said. "It's knowing that there is a person in this world who is always considering my well-being and looking out for me, and me for him."

Jewel shared that despite it not being glamorous, "It's the place where our ugliest parts are laid out, wide open, on the table for both to see. Yet, choosing each other anyway."

“It's having a commitment to our very best friend to do the good, bad, fun, and absolutely terrible times with," she said.  

"It's knowing you'd never want someone else in their place. It's messy but it's real love," she ended her note.

The actress and her American husband Alister Kurzer just welcomed their third child Yzabel Quinn last November.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, have two other daughters named Emerald and Aislah. —JAB, GMA News.
