Following divorce announcement, Michelle Madrigal admits she is not yet ready to be in another serious relationship
Following the announcement that she is going through divorce with partner Troy Woolfolk, Michelle Madrigal admitted that she is not ready to be in a new relationship.
On her latest Q&A vlog post, Michelle answered questions from her followers who asked her about her love life.
"I've gone on casual dates but I don't think I'm ready to be in another serious relationship," Michelle said.
Michelle said she is OK with meeting someone but committing to a relationship is a whole different story.
"Go for coffee, go on walks, or whatever; go for dinner. But honestly, where I am at, I want to focus on myself and it will be unfair."
"It would be unfair for the other person to be with me potentially," she added. "Kasi, I don't think I can commit to that with my new work schedule, me being a single mom, or co-parenting, right? It's a lot."
This time, Michelle said she wants to take time and focus on herself.
"Nagawa ko na 'yan dati na in relationships I always cater to other people. I always cater to their needs before my needs," she said. "This is a good chance for me to really focus on myself."
Michelle said there is a "right timing" when it comes to entering a new relationship.
"I am not saying the person, when the right time comes and I feel like I can give the commitment that is needed to nurture in the relationship, then I will be happy. I will accept it with open arms," she said. "Currently, hinay hinay muna tayo."
Michelle and Troy, who are based in Texas, tied the knot in April 2019 after meeting via Tinder. They welcomed their daughter Anika in 2017.
The couple announced in August that they are getting divorced.
Last November, Michelle revealed that she and Troy are still living in the same house but staying in separate rooms as they navigate co-parenting for their daughter.
Just last February, Michelle officially became a US citizen. —JAB, GMA News.
