Michelle Madrigal gets emotional after officially becoming a US citizen

Michelle Madrigal got emotional during her oath taking day after officially becoming a US citizen.

On her YouTube channel, Michelle shared her experience when she took her oath as she officially became a US citizen.

The celebrity mom who said she wanted to celebrate her milestone with family got emotional in the video, " I wish Anika was here, but she has to go to school and I have to go straight to work.”

“Gusto ko lang may kasama dito, the family to celebrate, but uhm we did it. I am a US citizen.”

Michelle said all she could think of after her oath taking was her daughter Anika, "with the whole thing going on like with my divorce and everything like 'pag may malalaking bagay na nangyayari.”

She then continued, “All you want to be surrounded with is your family and all I want is to hug Anika 'pag labas ko kanina, but I won't be able to see her until later.”

At the latter part of the video, Michelle gave some tips on how she applied for a US citizenship.

Michelle said some of the things she did are: (1) review, (2) complete your paperwork, (3) pass your documents online, and (4) don’t be nervous.

Michelle and Troy, who are based in Texas, tied the knot in April 2019 after meeting via Tinder. They welcomed their daughter Anika in 2017.

The couple announced in August that they are getting divorced.

Last November, Michelle revealed that she and Troy are still living in the same house but staying in separate rooms as they navigate co-parenting for their daughter. —JAB, GMA News.
