Glaiza de Castro reveals she and David Rainey have been married since October 2021
Surprise! Glaiza de Castro has apparently been a married woman for more than four months now.
In an exclusive interview on “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” the “False Positive” actress revealed that she and Irish businessman David Rainey tied the knot in October 2021.
Glaiza and David first met in Siargao in 2018. The two hit it off almost instantly.
“Sobrang ganda niya. I was just blown away,” David shared.
[Glaiza was so beautiful. I was just blown away.]
They ended up spending a lot of time together, and after going through the ups and downs of a long-distance relationship, they finally exchanged vows during an intimate wedding ceremony in Northern Ireland.
As if their wedding couldn’t get any more special, Glaiza said the ceremony was held beside a castle that was once the location site of the hit series “Game of Thrones.”
During their wedding, Glaiza said they also performed the Irish tradition of handfasting, which means “really tying the knot.”
On why they kept it a secret for so long, Glaiza said: “We're just waiting for the right time. David was a very private person. We just wanted to celebrate it for ourselves and with the family.”
According to the actress, she and David haven’t exchanged rings yet because they wanted to save that tradition for the church wedding they’re planning to have in the Philippines. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
