Danica Sotto and her kids recover from COVID-19
Danica Sotto and her two children have recovered from COVID-19.
The actress revealed Tuesday that she and her kids Michael and Caela tested positive for the disease two weeks ago.
"Healthy and Covid free!!!! Thank you Lord for your healing!!!!" Danica wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself with her family and their negative test results.
According to Danica, she tested positive for COVID-19 two days after she got her booster shot. She thought she was just experiencing side effects but she decided to get tested when she woke up with sore throat and body aches.
"When I woke up with a sore throat and body aches I knew I had to take another test and then I turned out to be positive,” she shared in Filipino.
She also said their children started having sore throats, body aches, and fever after two days.
Danica said thankfully, her husband Marc Pingris and their house helpers were spared from the virus.
"I’m just so glad that it’s finally over! THANK YOU LORD!!!!" she said, thanking their family and friends.
Danica urged everyone to get vaccinated, pray, stay healthy, listen to their bodies, and get tested when something felt off.
"If you have no way of getting tested and you know you were exposed or might be positive, please stay home! Go under self-quarantine," she said.
"Follow the quarantine guidelines. Even if you feel okay already, tapusin ang quarantine," Danica added. "Sending virtual hugs and prayers to those who are still sick and recovering. Stay strong. God will help you get through your battles."
Aside from Danica, other celebrities who have recently tested positive for COVID-19 include Iya Villania, Ina Raymundo, Pia Wurtzbach, Arnold Clavio, and Tuesday Vargas. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
