Iya Villania tests positive for COVID-19 while pregnant with her 4th child, shows situation in Casa Arellano
Iya Villania tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and on Instagram Monday, the "Chika Minute" host posted a photo showing the situation in Casa Arellano.
The picture showed her three kids Primo, Leon, and Alana looking at Iya through a glass door that separated the isolating mom from her children.
"Drew and I are still hanging onto that little chance that maybe the kids are spared," Iya wrote in the caption of her post.
Iya said the post is also for parents who are going through the same thing and "have to endure not hugging and kissing their children."
The Kapuso host said "this was the hardest thing to accept" after she learned she tested positive for COVID-19.
"Primo gets it, Leon is okay too because he follows his kuya’s lead, but Alana?? Boy, it broke my heart to see her cry for me and not being able to console her even for a bit," she admitted.
Iya told her fellow moms that they are not alone in this situation.
"My tip? Try not to cry!!!! Coz the tears will only cause nasal congestion and lengthen recovery!" She explained.
"I know, I know… ang hirap! Man, I CRIED!!! But you have to get over it as soon as you can and get in that speed car towards recovery for your family," she added.
She ended her post with an encouraging note to those who are also recovering from the virus: "Kapit guys! There’s a whole bunch of us! We can do it!"
Just last Monday, Iya announced that she and husband Drew Arellano are expecting their fourth child.
