Maxene Magalona had dinner on New Year's Eve with Rob Mananquil's parents

Amid breakup rumors, Maxene Magalona took to Instagram to share how she spent a portion of her New Year's Eve: Having dinner with her in-laws, Rob Mananquil's parents.

On her Instagram account, Maxene shared a photo of the three of them together sharing a meal at a restaurant in what looks like Powerplant Mall in Rockwell, Makati.

"I spent New Year’s eve having dinner with my in laws, Dad Roberto Mananquil and Mom Millet Martinez Mananquil," she began as she tagged her mother-in-law and used a hashtag on her father-in-law.

"Every time I hang out with them, I learn and enjoy so much," she added. "I love hearing Dad’s funny jokes that make me laugh so much as well as Mom’s stories from the past that come with life lessons, which I cherish and keep with me forever."

Maxene took the moment to show her "love and gratitude for two of the kindest and most unconditionally loving souls that I’ve ever met in this lifetime."

"I wouldn’t be the person I am today if not for them. The love that they have for me and their children is just so pure and rare which is why I would like to honor and share it. God bless you both!" she added.

Rumors about Rob and Maxene's spilt came after netizens noticed that the two are no longer following each other. They noticed that Maxene has also dropped his surname on her account.

Amid all speculations however, Maxene has remained calm and happy.

On Sunday, she shared a photo of herself in a lotus flower position on the beach, and requested people to "stop asking me me why I'm happy and and peaceful despite experiencing personal struggles." 

Maxene and Rob tied the knot twice in January 2018, first at a private church ceremony and second in a Boracay beach wedding. — LA, GMA News
