Robert Bolick announces engagement to new partner on New Year
Robert Bolick is kicking off the New Year right as he announces his engagement!
On Saturday, the PBA player shared a photo of himself giving his partner, Cassandra Yu, a passionate kiss while she showed off her engagement ring.
"Let’s start 2022 right!!! Damn! They say when you start a war, you better know what you're fighting for, and you are all I adore, because whether or not if you see it, you made everything better," he wrote on Instagram.
"An engagement marks the end of a whirlwind romance and the beginning of an eternal love story," he added.
"This is the start of our sweet little story, the part where your page meets mine, no matter where our tale takes us tomorrow, our story will always read."
He also said Cassandra was the person who really cared about him as they "ride through life's imperfections."
"I love you, my forever," said the NorthPort Batang Pier star.
Cassandra, a flight attendant, also took to Instagram to announce their engagement, saying Robert was definitely "worth the wait."
"The easiest yes, my greatest plot twist last year, 2021!" she said. "I thought I'd never fall in love again until you came into my life. Since the first day I met you, I knew in my heart that you are God's answered prayer for me."
Speculations about Robert and Cassandra's relationship circulated when her photos appeared on the basketball player's social media account for the first time in October.
This fueled rumors that he had broken up with his then longtime girlfriend, volleyball star Aby Maraño. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
