Widowed father of triplets who went viral for asking breast milk donations get aid from GMA Kapuso Foundation

A widowed father of triplets who went viral for asking for breast milk donations earlier this year received aid from GMA through the "Love Together, Hope Together" campaign.

Joel Regal's wife, April, passed away in March after giving birth to their kids via emergency C-section. Since then, he had been having a hard time providing breast milk for the triplets.

Since he has to work on weekdays, he gets help in taking care of his children from his mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Sometimes, however, caring for them becomes a struggle.

"Mahirap 'pag talagang nag-sabay-sabay po sila ng iyak. Hindi mo talaga alam kung sino uunahin ko sa kanila kaya kung sino lang talaga 'yung pinakamalakas umiyak, 'yon kukuhanin ko," he said.

Nevertheless, he is more than happy to be their father and he is always doing his best to raise them.

"Masaya po ako kasi lumalaki po silang malulusog, malalambing sila. 'Yung mga ngiti po nila, talagang nakakatanggal po ng pagod," he said. "Palalakihin ko silang mabuting tao."

After his story was reported on television in June, several moms have continuously provided them with milk, which he is very much grateful for. However, it can't be helped that sometimes, they run out of stocks.

In partnership with the GMA Kapuso Foundation, the triplets will continue to receive breast milk with the help of the Arugaan Foundation, an organization which promotes and supports breastfeeding.

The Regal family also received diapers, milk bottles, other baby needs, and grocery items from the GMA Kapuso Foundation. Victoria Tulad, meanwhile, gave the babies clothes and cash.

Tulad also brought with her a birthday cake and pansit from "24 Oras" to celebrate Joel's birthday.
